Eyelet / Grommet Curtains
Eyelet curtains, as the name implies, have metal-ringed eyelets at the top of the curtain through which you can thread your metal or wooden curtain rod. They are available in a variety of styles, including some with thermal and blockout properties, and require no hooks, eyes, or other fixings, making eyelet curtains a no-fuss, low-cost option for your windows.
Eyelet curtains can be installed anywhere a curtain rod can be accommodated in the home. If there isn't enough space above your window, you'll need to look for a different curtain style, such as a track that fits against the top of the window frame or against the ceiling.
Since the small eyelets normally let in a little light, if you're using these curtains in a bedroom, make sure the curtain rod is slightly above the window to minimise light, and choose blackout eyelet curtains as well.
